Conservation Through Art

Monkeyfriendly, Inc. is working with Ugandan artist Kaplan Gadson to create a local art gallery near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. Kaplan is from a family of artists and has a passion to share it with children to inspire deeper conservation efforts around wildlife habitat. The building of an art gallery would create alternative income for many households in the surrounding area. Another way in which art and conservation go hand in hand. We are in the research phase, scouting out land opportunities and arranging a partnership with Monkeyfriendly member Community Initiatives for Biodiversity in Uganda to apply for a grant to get it started. Do you recommend an art or conservation grant? Please contact as at info@monkeyfriendly.com
